The Adventure: 16 modern-day pirates embark on a high seas adventure around the Caribbean island of Dominica in search of hidden treasure that will total $1 million. Over the course of 33 days, the pirates will live aboard a massive 179-foot pirate ship. (See photo at right.)

But only one pirate will win the largest booty, worth $500,000, and claim the title of "Pirate Master."

The Legend: Captain Henry Steel
"Pirate Master" is based on the legend of Captain Henry Steel who sailed the Caribbean seas and looting and pirating. He arrived in Dominica in 1726 aboard his pirate ship, the Ruby Dagger. On the 10th of November 1726, the Ruby Dagger was spotted off the village of Soufriere in Soufriere Bay...
